Mormonism
Joseph Smith, made up his own religion based on Biblical foundations. He took liberties by adding and deleting as he saw fit. Mormons use the Bible at times but the main source of enlightenment for followers is the Book of Mormon. Smith supposedly was visited by an angel call Moroni who was the guardian of the golden plates, better known as the Book of Mormon. Mormon history was stained with scandal from Joseph's teachings: Jesus visited the Native Americans, all churches were apostate, and polygamy was okay. He was arrested on riot charges and killed trying to escape, some say assassinated.
Scientology
This world changing cult, was founded by Ron L. Hubbard in 1952, a Sci-Fi author. Hubbard discovered a new technology that would change people lives for the better. This was followed with numerous book's lecture's, tape's, etc. to bring people into the fold, so to speak. Unknowingly Scientology is so powerful that it's authority almost matches that of FBI status. The star power the cult pulls in it's easy to deceive the multitude including Jenna Elfman, John Travolta, Isaac Hayes, Lisa Marie Presley, Kelly Preston, Katie Holmes, and unoffically Will Smith. Matter of fact the rumored second in command, Tom Cruise, is co-owner of United Artist, one of the largest motion picture machines to date. What may be even more alarming is that United Artist is in partenership with Regal Entertainment Group, the largest movie theater chain in North America. If power is what the Church of Scientology wants it definitely has it.
